About Latus Dairy

A small family firm located at the heart of Istria, only a kilometre from the main Pula – Pazin road surrounded by pastures, at the hill above the village of Orbanići has been producing high quality dairy products based on its own cows’ milk since the end of the last century and other farmers’ milk from all over Istria for the last ten years.
Following the trends in the dairy production the dairy has been investing a great deal in its development and growth, although the base remains constantly the same, that is, tradition, nature and family.

The way in which the grandmother Šantina used to produce cheese, convinced that the dairy products were produced solely of milk, a dozen diligent hands have been producing up to 10 000 litres of milk every day.

Farmers we buy milk from are hardworking Istrian cattle-breeders, almost extinct sort of genuine lovers of cattle, soil and the Istrian way of life…

Love they invest in every litre of milk is the taste transformed into the tastes of the Latus dairy products. The taste of cream on bread, čafadela (semolina) on milk, the taste of the sea, wooden planks, the taste of the Istrian tradition…
